TickTick gives you progress pies on checklists instead which I find far more useful. I wanted to them to be sub-areas (eg a Personal area with projects for Health and Money) but that made the progress pies meaningless. If I used projects as projects (ie major multi-step things I could complete) then it got too cluttered. I switched for various reasons, eg I wanted priorities and cross-platform access, but also areas and projects didn’t really suit my needs. However, I am afraid that I won't know when to use a List for a project, and when to simply use Nested Tasks for a project. Then I'd create another List with the same name as the Folder/Area for all short projects and tasks. The other solution is to use Folders as Areas, and Lists as projects. from each course would get mixed up-so that's a no-no. You can sort of see that keeping 3 subjects in one List would make everything too crowded and illegible-all the assignments, lectures, etc. Regardless, I still need to make that List part of an Area somehow. This sort of works, even though I don't really enjoy closing a List. E.g.right now I organize my courses kind of like this: Math (list acting as project) Some of my projects are simply too big even for Nested Tasks as I need Sections for organization. However, you lose all the completed tasks from that list in the Completed tab as well as from that List itself (they reappear in both places once you open the list again). I am considering using Nested Tasks for projects since they are completable, whereas you have to close Lists. Ticktick's Folders sort of act like areas, but I cannot add any tasks to Folders.

Hey everyone, I'm currently using Things 3, but I'm considering switching to TickTick since Things doesn't support any non-Apple platforms.
